ARC: A Visually Immersive Opera Experience

ARC
A story
A visually immersive opera recital
An evening for the arts
FEATURING
Erin Alcorn, soprano
Mike McGuirk, filmmaker
Ting Ting Wong, piano
Erin, Mike, and Ting Ting will explore live music performance through a collaboration of opera and cinema. They will tell a love story using the simplest tools - oral tradition and stock footage, juxtaposing the conventions of what is popular with raw human emotion. In a world of commercialized romance, virtual living, and monetized escapism, Arc explores truth and our understanding of what is real.
ARC stands for audio reactive cinema, but more importantly it is a story and a visually immersive opera experience. Read on to learn more. In addition to ARC, artwork by Enas Tayyem will be featured through out the venue. Guests will be serenaded by the music of saxophonist Dillon Brout during a cocktail hour.
