From the musical She Loves Me by Harnick and Bock
A virtual collaboration by:
Ting Ting Wong, piano
Erin Alcorn, soprano
Plot: Amalia Goldberg has fallen in love with her penpal. She doesn't know his name, as they always refer to each other as "Dear Friend." They decide to meet at a romantic restaurant, but the penpal never shows up. Instead, her annoying and rude coworker George shows up and tells her nightmares about blind dates. Heartbroken, Amalia plays hooky from work the next day. Feeling guilty, George (who really is her penpal and too scared to admit it) brings Amalia vanilla ice cream to make her feel better. For the first time, they are together in harmony without arguing and realize they actually like each other. After George leaves, Amalia writes to her penpal, but can't seem to focus...

All tips go to the Brent Woodall Foundation for Exception Children (BWF), a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit dedicated to empowering families of children with autism and developmental disabilities. The Foundation’s focus is to raise autism awareness and to further provide education, training, and financial support to families with children that have autism. The Brent Woodall Foundation works with children from birth to 12 years of age. The center is located in Dallas, Texas and supports families worldwide through the Woodallkids Outreach program.
BWF has been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As providers of medically-necessary therapy for children with autism and their families, the therapeutic center has remained open during the shelter-in-place orders. The organization has made significant changes to its policies and procedures in order to provide the safest environment possible for its clients and employees working in the therapeutic center. The BWF requires all employees to wear masks, face shields, and gloves. The financial impact of providing personal protective equipment to employees and increasing cleaning and disinfecting services has been significant.

If you enjoyed this video, please consider tipping the musicians. All tips go to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization—a powerful and efficient network of 200 food banks across the country. As food insecurity rates hold steady at the highest levels ever, the Feeding America network of food banks has risen to meet the need. The organization feeds 40 million people at risk of hunger, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors. 41 million Americans are unemployed today. Many have lost their job during the pandemic. Sadly, that shows no sign of stopping. Your donation can bring relief to the millions worried about where their next meal will come from. In March, Nashville residents were hit with a double whammy in the same week, a catastrophic tornado and Covid-19, both of which continue to affect people of all colors. My brother has resided in Nashville since 2011 so these emergencies hit close to home. We decided to send all tips made from this video to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee's Emergency Response Fund.
